Commencement Package (cap & gown)

Office of Student Affairs & Wellness

Purchase your Cap & Gown Package as well as invitations, decals, and commencement memorabilia, by visiting the Bookstore Annex after registering. They have everything you need to get ready for Commencement Day. You can also get information about  class rings, find out more about the professional photography packages, and check out all the cool CCSF Alumni products available for purchase.

Keep in mind that the first step to Commencement is registering. You will not be able to purchase a Cap & Gown package until you are registered. See more bookstore details on the last page.

Please consult with the bookstore annex if you plan to wear your own cap and gown. All graduates are still required to purchase the limited package which includes tickets and the diploma cover given to each graduate as  they cross the stage.

The Cap and Gown Loan Program was founded in Spring 2008 by Rita Tuialu'ulu'u in the Office of Student Affairs & Wellness. The mission of the program is to loan commencement packages to graduating students with financial need, who cannot afford to purchase their own. No student should have to miss out on such an important event like commencement, and so we are here to help make sure you walk across that stage like everyone else! We take great pride in this program and our students. Packages are limited and will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.

1) Maximum of one package per student.

2) All participants must have a current student ID card.

3) All participants must at least purchase the "limited" package from the bookstore annex and we can provide the rest.

Loan packages include: Cap and Gown only. Students are expected to purchase and replace lost or damaged items; otherwise, a hold will be placed on the students’ account.

Our office is always accepting donations of CCSF purchased cap's and gown's. Your donation can help another person experience a life changing event. If you or someone you know would like to make a donation, you can contact us and/or come in person to our office. We ask that all donations be in clean, wearable condition.

If you have questions let us know by contacting our office or reference the Commencement Circular.
