MATH 80 PROBABILITY AND STATISTICS (4)

Descriptive statistics: organization of data; measures of central tendency, dispersion, and association; linear regression and correlation. Probability theory. Random variables: expected value, variance, independence, standard discrete and continuous distributions, and normal approximation. Sampling and statistical inference: estimating population parameters, interval estimation, and standard tests of hypotheses. Applications. CSU/UC/CAN STAT 2
