Welcome to the John Adams Center of City College of San Francisco!
The John Adams Center, at Masonic and Hayes, is housed in the beautiful, historic, and modernized, Lowell school building, right in the middle of the Haight-Ashbury neighborhood. Build in 1907, the Center is a testament to the City's commitment to education for all. Stop by anytime, whether to enroll in a program at the John Adams Center (JAD), or for assistance in finding the right program at City College of San Francisco.
Our student support services area includes great counseling, financial aid, and enrollment services. Our library is a great place to meet, study, or find the right materials for your class.
The John Adams Center offers both credit and noncredit classes. English as a Second Language (ESL) classes serve hundreds of city residents to rapidly improve English skills. Business courses are offered to enhance keyboarding, computer, accounting, or office technology skills. Check the schedule for individual art, biology, or other individual credit courses offered here.
The John Adams Center also offers many of the college's Health Technology programs, including Vocational Nursing, Nutrition Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Pharmacy Technician, Phlebotomy, Electrocardiography, Medical Billing, and many other certificate programs in the health fields.
As the Dean of the John Adams Center, I have the rewarding job of assisting our faculty and staff in meeting students' educational goals. Your achievement, i.e., reaching your goals, is our measure of success.
Thank you for including City College and the John Adams Center in your educational journey!
