Getting Started with Research: Subject Guides

Research Guides are useful to begin the research process.  They list online and print academic sources on broad topics such as health education, film, nursing, art, psychology, etc.

Learning Research Skills: Library Workshops

Library workshops, offered online and in-class in the Rosenberg Library, are one of the best ways to learn or update information research skills, also called information competency.  Information competency is a graduation requirement at CCSF.

Evaluating Information

Most information used for academic purposes should be evaluated, especially Web documents. 

Citing Information Sources

Citing information sources using a standardized citation format, such as MLA or APA, is required for responsibly using information.
