Math Tutoring Services

There are two primary math tutoring services at CCSF.

The CCSF Math Lab provides tutoring for lower level math courses.

The Learning Assistance Center (LAC) provides tutoring for higher level math courses.

 

 

The CCSF Math Lab

The Math Lab offers free math tutoring through a team of professional teaching assistants and trained student tutors. The Lab is equipped with 25 computer workstations for online homework assignments as well as tables and chairs for independent study.

Location:

 Bungalow 602 on the east side of the Ocean Avenue Campus below Ram Stadium near the tennis courts.

Fall and Spring Semester Hours:

Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Friday and Saturday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM

Summer Session Hours:

Monday through Friday, 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM

The Math Lab serves students enrolled in the following courses:

MATH 30 Prealgebra with Basic Math

MATH 35 Prealgebra

MATH 40 Elementary Algebra

MATH 45 Preparation for Statistics

MATH 50 Applied Geometry

MATH 55 Geometry

Tutoring for other math courses, from MATH 60 Intermediate Algebra to the calculus level, is available at the Learning Assistance Center, Rosenberg Library, room 207.

 

The Learning Assistance Center

Location: Rosenberg Library, room 207, Ocean Avenue Campus

The Learning Assistance Center offers free math tutoring for math courses numbered 60 and higher, including Intermediate Algebra, Statistics, Math Analysis, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus.
