Women's Basketball Coaching Staff
Derek J. Lau, Head Coach
Derek Lau enters his 12th year as member of the CCSF Women’s Basketball Coaching Staff. Lau’s responsibilities include individual development of the post players, recruiting, opponent scouting, and evaluation and development of defensive and offensive systems.
Lau transferred from CCSF to Long Beach State University where he earned a BA in Criminology and continued to earn a MA in Health and Physical Education and Recreation from Saint Mary’s College in Moraga.
He resides in San Francisco, California with his wife Remi, son's Lucas and Landry, and daughter Logan.

Monique Calvello, Asst. Coach
Calvello is in her 2nd year on the coaching staff. She previously played for CCSF from 2007–2009. After she transferred from CCSF, she was Menlo College’s 2011 Newcomer of the Year for the Cal-Pac League and an All-First Team member.
Calvello is a San Francisco native and attended Sacred Heart Cathedral Preparatory, where she helped lead her team to four consecutive CCS Championships and back-to-back state championships.
Eric Love, Asst. Coach
Eric Love is in his 1st year as an assistant coach at CCSF. Love was previously an assistant coach at Lowell High School for 3 years on the varsity girls team. Love has currently been coaching boys and girls teams in Asian league and AAU basketball for the last 14 years. Love is a Bay Area native, growing up in Oakland and has lived in San Francisco for the last 20 years.
