Program Info

CCSF Women's Swimming

With the newly built indoor pool facility, City College of San Francisco will offer intercollegiate Women’s Swimming Team starting spring 2010.  The team will compete with seven other community colleges in the Coast Conference.  The Swimming Program is open to any student. For those who wish to compete, you are required to be a full-time student. This status requires at least 12 semester units (9 of which must be academic) for the coming season. Sophomores or students who wish to compete a second year must have completed their first year academic requirements. Those who do not wish to compete may train with the team as long as they agree to work at all home meets.

We suggest that all students who want to participate take PE 540C, Advanced Swimming, during the fall quarter.

The program will encompass all levels of ability, skill and experience. We look for good team experience that allows everyone to contribute.  We strongly encourage any interested students with previous competitive swimming experience, to come out and join us!  Please complete the “Prospective Student Athlete Player Profile” and turn it in to Coach Pham.

The 2011 Intercollegiate Swim season begins January 15th. Practices will be Monday-Friday.  Meets begin in February, with conference dual meets on Fridays.

If you are interested please sign up for the following classes:

Fall 2010:  PE 540C, Advanced Swimming

Spring 2011:  PE 461 Women’s Intercollegiate Swimming
