Mission Statement

Our Mission:

The City College of San Francisco Dance Program is dedicated to serving the community as a whole and is responsive to the diversity of that community. We equally value all dance forms, levels and styles. And we provide education for those with varying goals - either dance movement as part of a general education, health and well being, and/or dance as a primary or secondary career.

SEPTEMBER

FALL HARVEST MILONGA:  Saturday, September 30, 7pm Intro Lesson for absolute beginners, 

8-10:30pm Argentine Tango Social Dance Party. CCSF Faculty Host: Chelsea Eng. Special Guest Tango DJ: Bobbi Noyer, Performance Studio 301. (Studio doors open at 6:55pm)

Sliding Scale $5-$10

 

OCTOBER

BALLROOM DANCE PARTY: Saturday, October 7, Both Lesson 7-8pm and/or dancing 8-10:30pm, $10 Performance Studio 301

 

COMMUNITY DANCE COLLAGE:  Saturday, October 21, 1-10:00pm, Registration 1pm, Class Sessions 2:00-3:30 & 4:00-5:30, Performance 7:30-9:30, General Admission $10, Performers admission FREE! Studio Info available at Registration Desk - Wellness 3rd Floor  

 

NOVEMBER

BALLROOM DANCE PARTY: Saturday, November 11, Lesson 7-8pm and/or Dancing 8-10:30pm, 

$10  Performance Studio 301

 

DECEMBER

ARGENTINE TANGO WORKSHOPS with FABIAN SALAS & LOLA DIAZ from Buenos Aires, Argentina: Saturday, December 2, Studio 310, 12:15-1:45pm Wksp #1, 2:15-3:45pm Wksp #2. 

CCSF Students with ID = $15 per wksp or $25 for both. General Public = $20 per wksp or $35 for both. Must Register with a set partner, as there will be no partner rotation.  Exact cash paid at the door (space permitting). Wksps = Intermediate/Advanced level & will sell out. SALSA DANCE PARTY:  Saturday, December 2, Performance Studio 301 8-11pm, 8:15 -8:45pm Beginning Salsa Lesson with Jeanne Hughes in Room 207    Free

 

COMPOSITION CONCERT: Friday, December 8, 7:00pm, $5.00 Performance Studio 301
