Placement Advisory for Students of Italian, Pilipino and Russian

Students wishing to take an Italian class and who have previously had classes in or exposure to the language should contact Claudio Concin for a recommendation and/or assessment of language skills.

Rizal Park, Pillipines

Students wishing to take a Pilipino class and who have previously had classes in or exposure to the language should contact Leo Paz for a recommendation and/or assessment of language skills.

Red Square, Moscow, Russia

Students wishing to take a Russian course and who have previously had classes in or exposure to the language should contact Krista Hanson for a recommendation and/or assessment of language skills. Or take the Placement Test. Follow the instructions below.

  1. GO to the internet site of the placement test from any Internet connected computer - you can take the test in the CCSF Language Center (Rosenberg Library, R-403) if you like. It should not take more than 30 minutes.
  2. Click here to go straight to the WebCAPE portal (will open in a new window).
  3. Enter the Password: california1
  4. Choose "Russian" from the drop down menus.
  5. Choose Begin.
  6. Enter your information - You will need your CCSF ID.
  7. Click Submit Information.
  8. Follow the directions to take the test.   After taking the placement test, you will AUTOMATICALLY receive an email with your result. 
  9. SAVE YOUR RESULTS.
  10. E-mail the results to the RUSSIAN ADVISOR, Krista Hanson: khanson@ccsf.edu
