Introduction and Continuation of Oil Painting: Materials, Color, and Form

This workshop is a structured introduction and continuation of the study of painting with oils. Begin with experiments in texture and technique, focusing on the various types of materials: paints, brushes, and mediums. Then move on to value and grisaille (gray tones). Next, explore color mixing and pigment theory. Finally, play with basic shapes and forms. Handouts, discussions, demonstrations, and one-on-one instruction are included.  There is a $5 - $7 model fee for 1 or 2 classes.
