Early Tenure

Consideration for early tenure is a multi-step process with many forms. PDF Removed of the Collective Bargaining agreement is the source of the various forms, and should be reviewed by persons under tenure review and tenure review committees when early tenure is to be considered.

  1. Faculty who wish to be considered for early tenure start by informing their Tenure Review Committees using PDF Removed. This should be submitted by the end of the sixth week of instruction, September 27, 2019.
  2. Tenure Review Committees then make a recommendation on consideration for early tenure to the Chancellor using PDF Removed and PDF Removed. These should be submitted by the end of the sixteenth week of the semester, December 6, 2019.
  3. If the Chancellor deems that consideration for early tenure is warranted, he indicates his approval using PDF Removed. This approval is given by the end of the first week of the following spring semester.
  4. Tenure Review Committees then use PDF Removed, a different evaluation form, for subsequent evaluations.
