Complaints About an Online Class

If you are a student who wishes to complain about a City College of San Francisco course delivered via distance education, you are strongly encouraged to first talk with your instructor. If you are unable to resolve your complaint through the instructor, please contact the department chair. You may also contact the Office of Student Affairs & Wellness and complete the Student Complaint Form (see below).

Procedure for Student Concerns

The Office of Student Affairs & Wellness is responsible for making sure that there is a fair and equitable process in place to advocate for students as well as receive and process grievances.

If you have a concern or complaint about an online learning class, please contact the Office of Student Conduct & Discipline, Student Complaints and Grievances.

Questions?

Students are always encouraged to work with the instructor first regarding any concerns in the class. Sometimes, it is helpful to talk with the Educational Technology Department Chair. The chair, Fred Teti, can be emailed at fteti@ccsf.edu, or the Dean of Online Learning & Educational Technology, Cynthia Dewar, can be emailed at cdewar@ccsf.edu

If you are unable to resolve your complaint, you may contact the Accrediting Commission for Community and Junior Colleges (Western Association of Schools and Colleges) at 10 Commercial Boulevard, Suite 204, Novato, CA 94949,  415-506-0234, email at accjc@accjc.org.
