PROBATION
Students are placed on Academic Probation when they have completed 12 or more units at CCSF with a cumulative grade point average below 2.0. Students are placed on Progress Probation when they have completed at least 12 units at CCSF and have received "W's", "Incomplete's" and "No Credit's" in 50% or more of the total units in which they have enrolled. Students who have been placed on Academic or Progress Probation shall have their probation status noted on their permanent records.

Students on probation are required to attend a"First Step to Success" workshop and meet with a Continuing Student counselor for each semester in which they remain on probation.

In order to prevent being placed on either Academic or Progress Probation, pay careful attention to the drop and withdrawal deadlines posted in each semester's CCSF Class Schedule. Enroll in a course load that is realistic and ensures an academically successful semester. If you have questions about your probation status, call the Continuing Student Counseling Department at 452-5235.
