Non-Credit Classes

CONVENIENT, FLEXIBLE, TUITION-FREE

City College of San Francisco offers an extensive schedule of convenient day, evening and weekend classes. More than 40,000 students a year take advantage of our free classes that support people of all ages and backgrounds in meeting new challenges in school, the workplace, the home, and society. It's also a perfect fit for people who simply want to stay active and enrich their lives with new skills and experiences.

Classes Are Free
Attend noncredit courses and pay no tuition.

Results Are Immediate
Gain skills that you can immediately apply to your professional and personal life.

Enrollment Is Open
Enroll at any time during the semester, then exit the program whenever you're ready.

Classes Are Flexible
Start at the level that feels most comfortable to you, and then move forward with more advanced courses at your own pace.

While you're taking classes at City College of San Francisco, we encourage you to take advantage of our additional services, such as:

· Individual counseling to help you select courses/programs
· Career advising
· Assistance for disabled students
· Additional support services, including job counseling
· Welfare-to-work student support and services

HOW TO ENROLL

New students are required to complete a noncredit application. Please complete the Noncredit Application in the Class Schedule (available in the print version only) and submit it to the Admissions and Enrollment Office at the campus you plan to attend.

Programs such as ESL, Citizenship, Adult Basic Education/High School and GED, DSPS, Child Development and Family Studies and Certificated Vocational Programs such as Office Technology and Trade and Industry require that students participate in the Matriculation process at the campus where these classes are offered (assessment, orientation, counseling).

You may enroll in other classes in the Older Adults, Consumer Arts and Sciences, Consumer Education and Trade Industry programs by attending the first class meeting.
IMPORTANT - students holding F-1 Visas are prohibited from enrolling in noncredit classes.
