Instructor Stephen Kane works in family foster care in the East Bay facilitating interactions among youth, foster parents and birth families. Prior to involvement in foster care, Stephen designed and directed a new program for transitional aged youth with mental health and substance abuse conditions in San Francisco. Stephen has also provided counseling in
residential treatment programs for adults with severe mental health conditions. Earlier in his career, Stephen led personal growth workshops and classes.
