National Safety Council’s Defensive Driving Course

This Defensive Driving Program is nationally recognized for providing participants skill review and tips in several areas:
The risks associated with certain driving behaviors
The 6 conditions that should be considered every time a motor vehicle is operated
The “sinister 6” leading causes of crashes and citations and skills for avoiding those risks
A special section deals with aggressive drivers and how to reduce the risk they create
Learn: safe driving techniques to prevent collisions and violations, to recognize hazards, collision-avoidance techniques, and to identify and choose safe and legal behind-the-wheel behaviors and actions through this nationally recognized Defensive Driving Program.

The following defensive driving topics are addressed:

  • Personal responsibility and driving
  • Choosing safe and responsible driving behaviors
  • Defensive driving
  • The driving environment
  • Hazard recognition
  • Drugs and driving
  • Avoiding collisions caused by common driving errors

Each participant receives a completion certificate that may make them eligible for a defensive driving / safe driver discount with their personal insurance carrier. Consistent application of the skills taught in this program significantly reduces the chances of being in a collision.
