Instructor Jennifer Baity Carlin, LCSW, is the Co-Occurring Disorders Specialist at the San Francisco Behavioral Health Center on the campus of San Francisco General Hospital. She has over 18 years experience in the addiction and mental health fields. She provides individual, group and family counseling to clients who have co-occurring substance-related problems and severe mental illness. She is an experienced instructor on topics ranging from Harm Reduction to Relapse Prevention to the Integration of Substance Abuse and Mental Health services. She is a firm believer in the benefits of harm reduction strategies for those who want to continue using drugs and alcohol and the benefits of relapse prevention strategies for those who want to stop using them. Ms. Baity Carlin received her BA from UC Berkeley and her MSW from Columbia University.
