Explore the concepts of
cultural diversity as you begin a personal and professional exploration of cultural
competency. We start the conversation (it
doesn't end here) about how to be culturally competent, raise awareness
about how you interact with client,s and answer the question: "Why is
cultural competence important?"
NOTE: Edgewood charges $3 for lunch; email fcs-training@ccsf.edu at least 48 hours in advance to order lunch. Students are welcome to bring bag lunches if they are staying all day. |

| Pre-registration is required; class size is limited. This class is free to San Francisco Department of Human Services staff, staff of group homes in San Francisco, staff of SF agencies that serve foster families, and foster parents of San Francisco children in the foster care system. Pre-registration is required. For other attendees, the fee is $25 per class. Your agency or department will be billed a $25 no-show fee (per student) if a staff member does not attend and does not withdraw in advance. Another staff member may replace the registered student if necessary |
