Faculty Web Pilot Project
Funded by a Grant from SBC
What is it?
Main Page and Course Page Web templates, with a Diego Rivera theme, make it easy for faculty to enter their schedules, office hours and course information using Macromedia's Contribute.
The level of skill needed to enter data and edit it each semester requires minimal training and is on a par with word processing. The project is designed for faculty members who want to have a CCSF Web site to provide students with course information, but who don’t want to learn how to create one using a complicated web browser or HTML. Fifteen original pilot participants created pages using Contribute during Fall, 2004. During Spring, 2005, these faculty work with four colleagues, "mentees", to help them create instructional web sites. Mentees are trained by the TLC, then are assisted by their mentors throughout the semester.
Application is now closed for pilot participants and mentees. The pilot is now in its second and final semester -Spring, 2005. Contact the TLC near the end of Spring, 2005 for an update on possible expansion of the project. Requirements for Participants and Mentees
You need to know how to use a Web browser and a word processor, and use email regularly. Mac or PC.
