California Educational Technology Collaborative - CETC

"The California Educational Technology Collaborative (CETC) offers an array of technology tools and resources. Most are free to administrators, faculty, and staff of the California Community Colleges." Program descriptions in quotes are from the CETC.

CETC Projects and Services

  • CCCSAT - "The California Community Colleges Satellite Network, or CCCSAT, provides a gateway to a world of free satellite and Internet programming for CCC faculty, staff, and students." View the CCSAT website for programming and other information. Some programming is also webcast.

    To request a CCCSAT downlink and/or off-air videotaping at CCSF--- and to request that a television or cable program be taped off-air for use in the classroom within ten days of the taping ---- faculty should telephone Broadcast Media Services - 415-239-3525 or come to the Broadcast Media Services window, ArtX 169.

  • CCCConfer - "The CCC Confer project provides free e-conferencing services for all California Community Colleges faculty and staff. CCC Confer is powered by HorizonWimba, a leader in educational e-conferencing." This tool is easy to use and quite stable. Save time and traffic frustration when organizing meetings with colleagues at other campuses.

  • @ONE - "The @ONE project provides technology training, support, and online resources to California Community College faculty, staff and IT professionals in order to enhance student learning and success." Training is offered online, with and without facilitators, and in Hands-On Institutes during winter and summer intersessions. The @ONE Winter Institute will be held on the CCSF Ocean Campus."

  • CCC Clearinghouse - An Online Document Center: "The CCC Clearinghouse is a statewide, Web-based repository that allows authorized users at both the local college and state level to electronically deposit, self-index, search, and retrieve documents, files, and certain databases that are of interest to any or all of the 109 colleges and the CCC Chancellor's Office."
