Relaxation And Meditation
Fridays, 2:00 - 3:00 p.m.
Beginning February 8, 2008
A support group for people wanting to reduce stress and find serenity in their lives through meditation and relaxation. Healthy vs. Abusive Relationships
Fridays, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Beginning February 8, 2008
Learn how to communicate more effectively, resolve conflicts, and improve friendships and romantic relationships! We will also identify "red flags" for emotionally abusive interactions, so you can protect yourself from both emotional abuse and physical violence.
Mindfulness & Mood
Thursdays, 10:00 - 11:00 am
Beginning February 7, 2008
This is a group to learn how to cope with feelings of depression and anxiety. Most people will experience some degree of depression and anxiety in their lives. We CAN learn to feel better, because these are treatable conditions. We will look at how mindfulness can positively affect mood.
Overcoming Anxiety & Self-Consciousness In Groups
Thursdays, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Beginning February 7, 2008
This workshop is designed for students who feel self-conscious, boring, and uncomfortable in social situations (such as class discussions). You will be taught strategies that will help you participate more actively in life, including the classroom.
Survivors of Childhood Sexual Abuse
Tuesdays, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Beginning February 5, 2008
Further your healing process through the mediums of writing and art, along with sharing in a safe and supportive environment. If you have not addressed your abuse in individual therapy, you may be encouraged to do so as an adjunct to this group.
Procrastination - Stop Waiting Around!
Wednesdays, 1:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Beginning February 6, 2008
Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today. Let's look at how anxiety and other factors affect our not getting things done earlier. Learn how to get things done sooner.
