VISION CARE
We have responded to
your request for eye exams being available more days
of the week and flexible hours. Rather than eye
examination being available half days only once a month, we
have referral sources to providers who are willing
to give special prices for City College Students. Please
come to Students health Center with your current CCSF
ID and see Donna for your referral.
SELF MONITORING BLOOD PRESSURE
return to top
What is blood pressure?
The force exerted by blood against the arterial walls. It is measured in millimeters of Mercury (mmHg). For example: 120/65 mmHg
Why measure blood pressure?
Blood pressure may be excessively: High = Hypertension or Low = Hypotension. Either condition may lead to heart disease, organ damage, stroke, or early mortality
Please consult with your physician when interpreting
blood pressure measurements.
