City College of San Francisco Scholarship Information

Continuing/Transferring Students

TITLE:
              Dan Allen Memorial Endowed Scholarship

AMOUNT:          up to $600.



REQUIREMENTS:           
1.  Have a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher.
2.  Be currently enrolled in at least six units of college credit at
     CCSF and have completed 18 units of college credit at any
     accredited institution by the end of the semester, during
     which application is made.

3.  Submit a minimum of two (not to exceed three) letters of
     recommendation, including one letter from a college faculty
     member and one letter attesting to gay-lesbian community
     service and/or to creative, academic or other achievements
     that benefit the gay-lesbian communities.

4.  Be continuing at CCSF or transferring to a baccalaureate
     institution and be enrolled in at least six units of college
     credit the following semester.

5.  Attend Scholarship Award Reception
COMMENTS:    Award based on awards, activities employment service to the gay and
                        lesbian communities and personal and financial hardship.  Personal
                        statement will play a major role in the applicant’s selection.

                        Scholarship Office, Batmale Hall 366 or from Jack Collins, Chair of the
                        Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Studies Department,
                        Cloud Hall 203B.
