CCSF FOUNDATION ENDOWED COMMUNITY SCHOLARSHIP
 

The Foundation of City College of San Francisco established an endowment fund to provide an opportunity for entrance to college of under-represented students.

WHO: African-Americans, Latinos, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, Southeast Asians (Burmese, Vietnamese, Cambodians, Laotians), Filipinos or students with disabilities. Candidates are to be San Francisco high school seniors who are graduating or have recently passed the California State Proficiency Exam.

AWARD: Depending upon available funds, one $1,750 scholarship, disbursed in four semester installments.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. FIRST-TIME COLLEGE STUDENT.(Participants in Excel and Summer Connection are eligible to apply.)
2. Attend City College during the 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 academic years, enrolling in and completing a minimum of nine units each semester with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
3. Consideration given to awards, activities, employment, community service, financial need, personal hardships and evidence of significant academic improvement during senior year in high school.

TO APPLY: Applications are sent in November to all San Francisco high school and community organizations that provide services to under-represented high school students. Requests for applications can be made directly to the CCSF Scholarship Office, as well.

DEADLINE: Spring Semester Friday, March 5, 2004
