The Multicultural Infusion Project is a professional development program that provides faculty with the incentives, time and resources to revamp their curricula and teaching methods to increase their focus on multicultural issues. The project focuses on helping faculty not only infuse multicultural content and perspectives into the curriculum, but also on helping us to expand our teaching strategies to meet the needs of a diverse student population. <<MORE>>

MIP Minigrant

All MIP faculty are invited to submit proposals for our second annual Mini-Grant Awards program for Spring 2009. Take this opportunity to implement changes in your curriculum, methods or practice, and be part of a supportive community of your peers as you develop new practices and resources for your students.

Speaker • Gail Thompson, Ph.D.

Our next MIP event for newbies and returners, will take place on Friday, Nov 21, 1-2pm in the Diego Rivera Theater and 230-430pm in the Pierre Coste Room. The speaker is educator, Gail Thompson, whose recent book "Up Where We Belong: Helping African American and Latino Students Rise in School and Life" examines the "perception gap" between faculty and
students-particularly students of color in a California school.
