Step Two -- Placement Testing

New matriculating students must take the placement test before registering for classes.  Placement Tests in ENGLISH or ESL (English as a Second Language) and MATH are given regularly during the months before registration.  The placement results will help you, in consultation with CCSF counselors and faculty advisors to select appropriate English or ESL and Math courses. The results of the testing will not be used to prevent you from attending CCSF.

Placement Testing Waiver Form - Students may waive placement testing if they have taken specific college courses or standardized tests.
(Please keep a copy for your records.)

Exemption from Testing
If you indicated in the online CCSF application that you would exempt from the Matriculation process, then you do not need to complete another Matriculation Exemption Form.
(Please keep a copy for your records.)
