Writing Tutors:

Requirements: Grade "A" in ENGL 1A, or its equivalent and excellent writing and communication skills; GPA 3.0 and above. Enroll in LERN 10, a one-unit tutor training course (enroll after being hired)

Program description |
Tutors work with students on a 1st come,1st served basis for 15+ minute tutorial sessions |
Tutors work with students on a drop-in basis in the Math Workshop; others work as teaching assistants in classes |
Tutors assigned to work with same students all semester for weekly, 50 minute sessions |

Enroll in LERN 10, Introduction to Tutoring, a one-unit tutor training course, a CR/NCR course that meets the 2nd Saturday of the semester and three afternoons thereafter (enroll after being hired.) Tutoring hours available for 5-15 hours/week.

| Program Description |
Lab Aides assist students on PC and Macintosh computers with MS Office, Internet, and email assignments. |

Must work 5-15 hours/week M-R 7:30 AM-8:30 PM; F 7:30AM-4:30 PM; Sat 9AM-4:30 PM. |
| Lab Assistant Training: |
All Lab Assistants will meet on second Saturday for Lab training for LERN 10 and some scheduled lectures thereafter. |
