Hermanas/Hermanos Mentoring Project

This fall marks the start of LSN’s new Hermanas/Hermanos Mentoring Project. In this program, we will select successful, experienced CCSF students to become mentors by providing them training in the development of mentoring and leadership skills. We will also select new CCSF students and pair these new student protégés with the student mentors so that they may be given the opportunity to benefit from their mentors’ knowledge, skills, and experiences. We expect that this partnership between mentors and protégés will result in increased academic success, strong friendships, and a vibrant Latino student community.            

Este semestre empezamos el nuevo Proyecto de Mentor Hermanas/Hermanos. En este programa vamos a escoger a unos estudiantes continuos de CCSF, que han tenido mucho éxito, y darles a estos estudiantes “mentores” entrenamientos sobre el desarrollo de las habilidades necesarias para ser buen líder y mentor. También vamos a escoger unos estudiantes nuevos a CCSF y juntarlos con estos estudiantes mentores para que tengan la oportunidad de beneficiarse de los conocimientos, las habilidades y las experiencias de su mentor. Esperamos que esta asociación entre los estudiantes mentores y sus discípulos resulte en éxito académico, amistades buenas, y una comunidad activa de estudiantes latinos
