Second Chance

The EOPS SECOND CHANCE PROGRAM is specifically designed to recruit and support ex-offenders and individuals currently within the criminal justice system who wish to achieve their educational and vocational goals within City College of San Francisco. Interested potential students who have the motivation and commitment to succeed are recruited while in recovery programs, and pre-release programs in the San Francisco Bay Area. Increasingly, law enforcement agents and agencies refer their ex-inmates to our SECOND CHANCE PROGRAM as an important ingredient in their total recovery program. Outreach and recruitment information is disseminated locally in workshops and meetings at churches, community centers and agencies throughout the communities of Bayview-Hunters Point, Mission, Visitacion Valley, Chinatown, North Beach, Tenderloin, South of Market and the Western Addition Districts. Many potential students are also referred through word of mouth from programs throughout California.
