Ocean
Alemany
Chinatown/North Beach
John Adams
SouthEast
Mission
Fort Mason
Networking
At the same time ITS worked behind the scenes to set up a network that
connects all CCSF campuses. The networking group, headed by Tim Ryan, with
Ben Chan watching over our new servers, created an all-campus
Windows-based network that allows everyone with a Windows (Active
Directory) network account to:
Log into any connected computer on any campus
Store and retrieve documents on a server from any campus
GroupWise
Everyone who went through an orientation received a CCSF GroupWise
email account and is listed in the CCSF GroupWise Address book. The ITS
GroupWise support staff, Anne Morris the GroupWise admin, with Shirley
Barger and JR Hall assisting, navigated through setup,, troubleshooting,
and spam-filtering with aplomb.
Help Desk
The Help Desk staff under James Rogers provided yeoman service dealing
with glitches, solving problems, helping coordinate upgrade activity, and
answering questions from all of us on—well, anything we wanted to ask.
