The following assistive technology software programs, devices and equipment are available. This list is subject to change and may not be fully inclusive.

VISUAL IMPAIRMENT

LOW VISION:
Kurzweil 1000 Scan/Read. PC reads scanned documents, MS Word or PDF files.
ZoomText Xtra. PC enlarges text and speaks.
CloseView. Mac speaks text.
Intellitalk. Mac speaks text.
Scan and Read. PC reads scanned documents.
TextHelp. Reads typed text and suggests the next text.
Toggle Keys. Audible tones when pressing the cap, num or scroll lock keys.
High Contrast and Readability. PC uses colors and easy reading fonts.

BLIND:
JAWS. PC audible navigation and screen reading.
Scan and Read. PC reads scanned documents.
Duxbury software and Braille embosser.

LEARNING DISABLED

PDFaloud. PC reads PDF documents.
Dragon Dictate. PC speech to text.
Naturally Speaking. PC speech to text.
Co Writer. Mac word prediction and writing assistance software.

ZoomText. PC screen magnifier and text to speech.
Self-paced CD tutorials.
Read and Write. PC word prediction, speaks, spelling help.

MOBILITY or ORTHOPEDIC IMPAIRMENT

Dragon Dictate. PC speech to text.
Naturally Speaking. PC speech to text.
Sticky Keys. PC allows shift, control, alt to be pressed one key at a time.
Filter Keys. PC ignores brief and repeated key strokes.
Mouse Speed. PC controls pointer with numeric keypad.
Wacom Tablet. Mac moves cursor with stylus in place of mouse.
CO Writer. Mac word prediction software.
Trackball mouse.
Tash keyboard.
Kenx. Mac mouse code typing.
Dvorak. PC keyboard arrangement.
Accessible tables, chairs, lapboards and arm guards.
