Staff
The General Counseling Department has a staff of professional counselors
with extensive experience in college counseling. Their backgrounds also
include career and personal counseling.
The General Counseling Department is the most diverse department
at City College. Counselors represent the African-American, Philippine,
Latin, Mexican-American, Caucasian, Chinese and Vietnamese communities.
Counselors are available who speak Mandarin, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Spanish,
and French. Gay and lesbian counselors are available.
Students on probation are assigned to a counselor but are welcome
to change counselors. All students are encouraged to make an appointment
with a counselor of their choice.
General counseling services are an essential part of the mission of
City College of San Francisco. These services include:
