Consequences of Probation

1) Students who remain on Probation for four or more semesters are Subject to Dismissal from the college.

2) Students who remain on Probation for three or more semesters may have their registration blocked for the up-coming semester until they meet with the Associate Dean of Students (Conlan, 106).

3) Probation status is permanently noted on your transcript and cannot be removed.

4) Probation status may affect your eligibility for student services such as EOPS, Financial Aid and the International Students Program. It may also affect your eligibility for instructional programs such as Nursing and Hotel and Restaurant Management.

5) Your Probation status may affect your ability to meet your educational goals (graduation, transfer, job training) in a timely fashion.

6) Your Probation status may affect how confident you feel about yourself and how optimistic you are about your future.
