Year Up

85% of Year Up graduates work in professional positions earning about $32,000/year or more within four months of completing the program.

Year Up is a 12-month, full-time professional technology program for low-income 18-24 year olds with a high school diploma or a GED.  Year Up strives to close the opportunity divide by providing young adults with the skills, experience, and support that will empower participants to reach their potential through professional careers and higher education.

The first six months of the program are spent training at Year Up in IT Help Desk/Desktop Support, business communications and professional skills. The second six months of the program are spent as an apprentice at a local corporation. Placements include Wells Fargo Bank, Salesforce.com, Kaiser Permanente and California Pacific Medical Center.

Year Up is now recruiting for classes starting March 2, 2009.
Ideal applicants demonstrate ambition, personal drive and an interest in learning technology skills.

We invite community partners and interested young adults to come to an Open House on Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m. to find out more about the program.  Please call us for more details.
