ABOUT THE CONTINUING STUDENT COUNSELING DEPARTMENT

Staff

The Continuing Student Counseling Department (CSCD) has a staff of professional counselors with extensive experience in college counseling.  Their backgrounds include career, academic and personal counseling. Continuing student counselors address the needs of continuing students who have completed one year of college 24 or more units. Work with continuing student counselors to discuss your goals and create or revise your educational plan. Discuss requirements for a certificate, a degree or transfer to a 4-year institution. CS counselors make referrals to helpful support services, and provide special workshops including probation, transfer planning, and internet resources.

 All students are encouraged to make an appointment with a counselor of their choice.

Continuing Student Counseling services are an essential part of the mission of City College of San Francisco. These services include:

Academic Planning for

• returning students
• current students with one year of college or 24 or more units
• students on probation
• Re-Entry Students

Educational Plans for

• Certificate and Award of achievement programs
• The A.A. or A.S. degree
• Transfer to four year universities and colleges
