What will this program do for me?
After you complete this program you will have a certificate and be prepared for a wide variety of entry-level clerical positions. You may also be ready to enroll in other business programs offered by CCSF.

What kind of job can I get once I complete the program?
An entry-level clerical job such as a general office clerk or clerk typist.

How much can I earn in this career?
On the average, we estimate $6.50 per hour as a starting salary. Please refer to Occupational Outlook Handbook for current information on salary and job prospects.

How long will the program take?
The program takes two semesters to complete full-time.

Where will classes be held?
The program is offered at three campuses:
1) Alemany Campus
2) Chinatown/North Beach Campus
3) Downtown Campus

What time of day are classes offered?
Each of the three campuses has a different class schedule for the program. Check with the campus where you want to study.

When do classes start?

How do I enroll?
See a counselor at the campus and fill out an application form.

What are the requirements for receiving a certificate?
You need to attend classes regularly.
You need to pass all courses.
You need to type 45 words per minute.
You need to have a speed of 160 strokes per minute on the ten-key calculator.

How much money can I expect to spend?
This non-credit program is no cost to the student. If you meet the government requirements and you work hard in the program, you may be eligible for financial aid while you study.
