What will this program do for me?
You will gain a solid understanding in the fundamental of electronic and the components that make up the electronic circuit.

What kind of job can I get once I complete the program?
You will be qualified to apply for jobs as an entry level Electronic Technician. Potential hiring companies are Hewlett Packard, Rolm, UL, BART, SF Muni, SFO, Varian Assoc. Lucent, Intel, Cisco and many other high tech companies in Silicon Valley.

How much can I earn in this career?
Starting annual salary is around $40,000.  Please refer to Occupational Outlook Handbook for current information on salary and job prospects.

What are the prerequisites?
High school math such as Algebra and trigonometry.

How long will it take?
If you are taking two courses per semester (2 night per week or 6-8 hours per week), this program can be completed in 4 semesters (2 years).

Where will classes be held?
Classes are held at the Ocean Campus. Please check the Schedules for Credit Classes for class times and locations.

What time of day are classes offered?
All classes for this program start at 6pm to 9:30 or 10pm, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays.

When do classes start?
Spring (around January 17) or Fall (around August 20) semester each year.  Please check the Schedules for Credit Classes for class times and locations.

Submit an application to the Office of Admissions and Records, Ocean Campus, Room E-107 in Conlan Hall, (415) 239-3285.

What are the requirements for receiving a degree?

How much money can I expect to spend?
Please refer to Tuition Information for specifics on costs. Financial Aid is available for those who qualify. You may also call the Financial Aid Office at (415) 239-3576.  Book, supply, lab kit, project material are around $75-$200 range for each class.
