The new CDPC webpage now offers students interested in short term goals and/or
CCSF certificates, a chance to view occupational information in either English
or Spanish. Éxito = Success is a short questionnaire that assists students
in finding occupations in their interest areas.
John Adams Career Center Opens!
The City College of San Francisco Career Development and Placement Center is excited to announce the opening of a new fully functioning career center at the John Adams campus. The new center has been in the planning for the last two years and finally everything came together and the remodeling was started in summer 2005 and completed in the fall of 2005.
The center features six internet computers along with the very
popular EUREKA, a career exploration software program. We also
have some great new job search programs in addition to WINWAY
Resume Writer. The center is located in room 44A, right next
to security and the GED testing office.

This Spring CDPC will be sponsoring the following event on the Ocean Campus:
Spring 2006 Career Information Fair!
Mark your calendar now for the twelfth Annual Career Information Fair on Wednesday, April 26, from 9 am to 1 pm, in the Student Cafeteria, Ocean Campus. The Career Development and Placement Center (CDPC) often attracts as many as 50 employer representatives to this activity. Students have the special opportunity to meet people face to face to get information on emerging and traditional career opportunities. Employers who have current job openings will welcome resumes from job-ready students. For developing or updating resumes and employer contact skills, the CDPC in S-127 offers free handbooks, workshops, computerized resume preparation, and individual counseling.
Instructors are encouraged to use this event as a class assignment.

Are You Job Ready?
If you are seeking employment, whether on-campus, work-study/lab aide,
or off campus, you need to prepare yourself to compete for the job
you want. CDPC recommends
that you consider making an appointment to see a career counselor who
can assist you in becoming job ready. To make an appointment with

Online Job Search
If you are looking for job information online, then be sure to check the two
online job information providers working specifically for CCSF students.
Career Connection is a free online resource connecting employers to students and alumni
of CCSF. Career Connection allows CCSF students to explore job opportunities
online 24
hours a day – or subscribe to get jobs sent automatically to
them by email. To view these jobs, students can also drop by the Career
Center in S127of the Ocean Campus to check out the Career Connection
job binder.
MonsterTrak is
a password protected job placement service found on the CDPC webpage
for
CCSF students and alumni. Students can access on and off campus job
announcements, including work study, lab aide, internships, and other
job information. To acquire
