ADVISE: Concurrent enrollment in a RF or other floristry course and/or experience in horticulture or floristry
An in-service training for those engaged in the field of floristry and/or enrolled in Retail Floristry. Guest lecturer-demonstrators. Design work and topics such as trends in such topics as body flowers, new techniques, internationally influenced design styles, memorial flowers, special events, weddings, competition, and exhibition designs.
Offered Spring semesters
After successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
- Outcome 1: Propose and design various styles of advanced body flowers such as wristlets, boutonnieres and hair designs.
- Outcome 2: Propose and design various styles of advanced memorial tributes such as scarves, blankets or easel sprays.
- Outcome 3: Propose and design various sale-able arrangements following current industry trends.
- Outcome 4: Propose and design various styles of advanced wedding or event designs.
