New Community Health and Wellness Center Facilities
City College of San Francisco has opened its $84 million state of the art Community Health and Wellness Center in the Spring of 2008. The athletic complex will replace existing facilities currently housing the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics and will consist of three levels:

There are two weight training rooms incorporating two
elements of strength/power training, free weights
and resistance machines. The majority of
the resistance machines require users to load the
weight discs themselves, giving a wide flexibility
of exercise.

The basketball court is a mutli-use facility. The court is equipped with extendable dividers so as many
as three games can be played at the same time. There is a competition court that extends across two
of
the courts.In addition to basketball, the court is designed for
volleyball and badminton. The court
provides seating for 900.

The Wellness Center has two-tech friendly classrooms, the above being the larger of the two at 1,200 square feet.
The Martial Arts/Judo room has a floor specially designed for martial art exercises and demonstations.

Fitness Center
The Fitness Center is located in the Health and Wellness Center and provides students with a total body workout and is designed to accommodate all levels of fitness; from the elite athlete to the person who has never worked out. The fitness center has 46 individual workout machines and close to 30 cardio machines.
• Students must bring their own locks.
• Students must keep their belongings locked up at all times or in the cubbies
• Men and women may obtain a locker from the locker attendant in the front lobby
