Student Athlete Enrollment Information

What You Need To Do:

Step 1

Contact the Head Coach for the sport you are considering. He or she will be able to help you with the remainder of the process.

Step 2

Fill out an CCSF Application

Step 3

Take a Placement Test for English & Math - This needs to be arranged through the coach or through the CCSF Testing Office at (415) 239-3000.

Step 4

Fill out the Free Federal Financial Aid forms and send them to the Federal Processing Center. Two Steps to Online Financial Aid

Step 5

Meet with our Athletic Academic Advisors Rod Santos (415) 239-3260 or Lisa Ramano (415) 239-3675 to set up your Academic Plan and register for classes. (There are designated weeks during the year when you can Register for courses on line, by phone, or in person).

Eligibility Requirements / Scholarship Information:

A student may be eligible to participate on an athletic team if they have:

  1. not participated for two or more seasons at another college (2 or 4 year) for their particular sport attempting at CCSF.
  2. enrolled in at least 12 units during the particular sports' season.
  3. successfully completed a minimum of 24 units from the first season of competition to the second and maintained a minimum of a 2.0 GPA.
  4. transferred from another college, and completed a minimum of 12 units of  "residency" at CCSF before season of their particular sport begins.
  5. met qualifications set forth by individual athletic team policies.
  6. Please contact the coach of the particular sport of interest for more information regarding eligibility requirements.

Athletic scholarships are not awarded at any California Community College as set forth by COA guidelines.  Students may qualify for financial aid and other government assistance provided they meet the criteria.  Please contact our financial aid office for more information.

Recruiting Counties:

All Athletes outside of the recruiting area must fill out a FORM C and send it back to ccsf as soon as possible in order to start the recruiting process.

Transfers:

Any Player Transferring from a California Community College who has completed one year of eligibility MUST COMPLETE 12 units at City College of San Francisco prior to the Spring Season, in order to be ELIGIBLE to play at CCSF.
