writing prompt: International Terrorism

by Nancy Husari
Here's a writing prompt that I used in an intermediate reading/composition course. (CCSF Level 72)

The terrible events of September 11 have brought up the need for a serious response to international terrorism. Is this type of act a crime against one country or against the global community ? How should the individual country and/or the global community respond?

Before you begin, you will have to narrow your topic. You can use the example of the attack on the World Trade Center or other examples.

You can include some ideas from articles on the Internet, or magazines and newspapers, but please concentrate on your own ideas and writing.

Be careful with proper use of quotations and paraphrasing.

The following is the timeline that I did for this writing assignment. If you have any questions about this assignment, or if you would like copies of other accompanying handouts, please e-mail me at Nbabble@aol.com
