Preparing Images for the Screen

When you get a picture from your digital camera or from a scanner, it's probably not ideal to insert into a Web page or into PowerPoint. This workshop gives some information and practical help on what you need to know about displaying pictures on the screen and on what you can do to get the best results.

Here's the intro Powerpoint file that talks about different file formats and about cropping, resizing, and making sure that your pictures are in the right format for displaying well on the screen.

Windows: Right-click and choose Save target as... pull down arrow beside Save in and save on Desktop

Mac: Control-click and choose Download Image to Disk to save to download folder (usually the desktop)
