This 3-unit course is the study of the cultural, social, and economic influences on food habits of different groups; their diet-related health risks and implications; cross-cultural communication strategies; food budgeting and meal planning; and foodservice safety and sanitation.

	Acceptance to the Nutrition Assistant Program based on successful completion of: HOEC 98 Introduction to the Nutrition Assistant Program
