(AUTO)BIOGRAPHY OF KARL WESTERBERG

I received my BS in Physics from Carnegie-Mellon University in 1990, and went on to earn a PhD in Theoretical Particle Physics from Princeton University in 1996. After taking a year off, I continued working at Princeton University for the next five years as a postdoc studying the mechanism of protein folding using computer simulations. During those same five years, I taught General Physics I and II (the equivalent of PHYC 4A, 4B, and 4C, with lab) as a part-time instructor at The College of New Jersey. I joined the CCSF faculty as a full-time Physics Instructor in the fall of 2002.

Extra-curricular activities include playing the piano (some recordings can be found here), yoga, and playing bridge.
