To access Insight, you'll need to log into the website with a username and password.

  • If you HAVE NOT used Insight at City College this academic year, you will receive an email to the email address you have registered in WebStars containing information for how to login to Insight and access this course. Please look for this email (it is from moodle@ccsf.edu) to be delivered to you around the first day of classes.

NOTE:  You will not be able to access the online course until Monday, August 16th.

Additional Information:

This online computer software course can be very challenging for students with little computer experience.  You will need to schedule sufficient time to work through the exercises in the textbook, and to complete the assignments.  You will be able to post questions and comments online, and I will provide answers to your questions through written responses.  For many students, this may be a difficult way of learning.  There are several face-to-face sections of MABS 60 that you may consider taking.

Please go to http://www.ccsf.edu/Departments/Distance_Education/index.htm for information to help you decide if an online course is right for you.

This class may be taken on a Pass/No Pass or on a letter grade basis.  In order to take the class on a Pass/No Pass basis, you must file a petition with the Office of Admissions and Records no later than the deadline date established in the Calendar of Instruction. (See CCSF Course Schedule for this date.)  Students may also select "Pass/No Pass" grading option on-line through webSTARS at http://www.ccsf.edu. You must receive a C grade or higher in order to receive a P (Pass); lower grades will receive an NP (No Pass).  P/NP grading is not counted in the student’s grade point average.

NOTE:  Although City College does not limit the number of units a student may take on a Pass/No Pass basis, students planning to transfer should inquire of the transfer institution its policy on credit/no-credit course work. Some institutions may require a letter grade in course work used to satisfy specific requirements for admission and/or major preparation.
