Currently, CCSF is using Al corriente, cuarta edición, for Spanish 3, 3A, and 3B (ISBN 0-07-252825-7 for text, and ISBN 0-07-252828-1 for workbook).

Students need two books: the textbook and the workbook, which includes both the lab manual and the workbook of written exercises.

In Spanish 3A, the "Capítulo Preliminar" and Chapters 1-7 are covered, and in Spanish 3B, Chapters 8-15 are covered.

Both the textbook and the workbook are likely to be available in used condition at online sources like Amazon.Com. Care should be taken to get a workbook that does not have the exercises already written by the previous owner. The CCSF bookstore may have used copies in stock. The new textbook/workbook package will cost approximately $139.50 plus sales tax.

By the way, a handy bilingual Spanish-English dictionary is an asset in the classroom. There are several satisfactory ones. On the Internet, I recommend "WordReference.Com" for English-Spanish and Spanish-English. But to really check a definition, it is better to use a Spanish-Spanish dictionary like the one edited by the Real Academia Española at http://buscon.rae.es/draeI/  for word searches. Furthermore, toggling between English and Español at Wikipedia is another helpful way to find lexical equivalents.
