an ethnic festival that predates the arrival of the Spanish.

Monte Alban is the pre-Colombian city that overlooks Oaxaca.
Monte Albán es la ciudad precolombina que tiene una vista de Oaxaca.

The dark sauce on this drumstick is an exotic blend of chilis, chocolate,
sesame seeds, and other spices. This is called mole.
There are many colors and flavors. This one is mole poblano.
Esta salsa se llama mole poblano.
