Class Outline and Procedures
The Archery class will include, in part or in full, the following:
Intermediate shooting techniques with emphisis on form and proper shooting techniques.
Techniques to gain better grouping and shooting consistency.
Emphasis on the mental aspects of the sport of Archery
Intermediate Drills
Self evaluation and motivational skills
Tournaments & other competitions
Archery tackle review and maintenance.
Class will begin on time, unless otherwise told by the instructor. Please be on time! Equipment will not be available 20 minutes after class begins.
Classes may be cancelled due to RAIN. See Instructor for specific rainy day instructions.
Each student is expected to participate each class period dressed in appropriate Archery attire with flat shoes. (no heels) Hats, sunglasses & sunscreen are recommended. Shoes can get muddy from wet turf.
Each student needs to purchase their own Archery TAB/GLOVE and ARM GUARD. They will be available for sale by the instructor. Students will be responsible for all equipment assigned to them during class period.
Grading will be based on class attendence and participation. Each student will automatically receive a letter grade (A,B,C, etc.) unless a Credit/No Credit option is requested by the student. Attendance & Grading Procedures
Class will end at approx. ½ hour before the end of class time for equipment clean up.
Please feel free to comment or give suggestions regarding the class anytime before or after class.
There are no Drinking fountains or Restrooms available on the Archery Range. Public restrooms are located at the golf course club house behind the archery range.
