Congratulations on enrolling in Speech 20--online!  Information about the mandatory orientation and the required meetings is listed below. Even if you have taken an online class in the past, you are required to attend the mandatory orientation. I look forward to meeting you at the orientation. 

MANDATORY ORIENTATION
The mandatory orientation for section 831 for Speech 20-online will be held on the following day and time:

Section 831: 1/25/11 from 1-2:30 pm in MUB 188 on the Ocean Campus.

Five face-to- face meetings required on Tuesdays from 1-4:30 pm on 2/8, 2/22, 3/22, 4/19 and 5/17/11.

Speech 20-online is a very popular class! Many students would like to have your spot!  Unfortunately, if you do not attend the mandatory orientation on time and stay for the entire class, you will be dropped and another student added in your place.  You cannot have somone attend in your place.  This is the only orientation for the course.

Adds/Drops are usually done toward the beginning of the orientation.

If you would like to switch from one section to another, it is usually not a problem. I won't know for certain until I take roll at the mandatory meeting.

MANDATORY ON-CAMPUS MEETINGS
Speech 20-online requires that you attend five on-campus meetings where you will deliver the required presentations and participate in the required activities.  The meetings will be held on the dates and times listed below.  You must attend the meetings, arrive on time and stay for the entire time.
